Punjab Introduces New Facility for Mobile Phone Users

On the directions of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, the Punjab Safe Cities Authority has launched an emergency free mobile phone charging service in Lahore.

According to officials, the initiative provides multiple facilities at a single location in the city, including a panic button, CM Free Wi-Fi, and emergency free mobile phone charging. The service aims to support citizens, particularly in emergency situations.

A spokesperson for the Punjab Safe Cities Authority said the authority has planned to introduce the emergency free mobile phone charging service at 100 locations across Lahore as part of efforts to strengthen safety zones in the city.

So far, emergency free mobile phone charging ports have been installed at 30 locations in Lahore. The spokesperson said citizens have started using the facility.

The authority said the initiative focuses on improving public safety infrastructure and ensuring that essential emergency services remain accessible to the public.
