The club is known for regular appearances in European competitions and could offer the Pakistani international a major platform on the continental stage.

Earlier reports had already linked Iqbal with strong interest from Belgian outfit KAA Gent and Hungarian champions Ferencváros. With Qarabag now joining the list, competition for his signature appears to be intensifying ahead of the upcoming transfer window.

The Danish-Pakistani enjoyed a breakthrough season in Sweden after joining Mjällby in 2024 from Danish club B.93. The transfer, reportedly worth around 1.5 million Danish Kroner.

He played a central role in Mjällby’s surprise Allsvenskan title-winning campaign. His consistency at the club level, coupled with his leadership as captain of Pakistan’s national team, has made him an attractive option for clubs looking to strengthen their defense.

As a result of his impressive rise, Abdullah Iqbal’s market value is now estimated at around €2 million, with expectations that it could climb further if a move to a European competition regular materializes.
