Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) has begun load management after a reduction in power generation affected electricity supply.
A company spokesperson said technical issues have temporarily reduced overall power generation, resulting in lower electricity availability than required to meet demand. As a result, IESCO is carrying out need based load management across its entire service area.
The spokesperson said IESCO will restore uninterrupted power supply as soon as electricity availability matches demand. He added that the company remains aware of the inconvenience caused by power outages and is taking steps to manage the situation.
IESCO apologized to consumers for the disruption and requested their cooperation until power generation stabilizes and supply improves.
