The National Information Technology Board (NITB) is set to launch a big data–based analytics dashboard for the judiciary, officials revealed during a review meeting on the board’s performance and ongoing initiatives.
The meeting, chaired by Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, focused on speeding up digital governance reforms and improving public service delivery through technology-driven solutions.
During the session, the prime minister emphasized the need to further simplify citizens’ access to government services by making maximum use of modern technology. He highlighted that digital platforms should be used to improve efficiency, transparency, and responsiveness across public sector institutions.
Officials informed the meeting that after the appointment of a new chief executive officer, NITB is restructuring its organizational framework in line with contemporary requirements. Preparations for establishing an Asaan Khidmat Markaz in Islamabad have been completed, and a secure new application for use across government institutions is also under development.
The meeting was also told that all essential stages of the Hajj process will be fully digitized from this year to facilitate pilgrims. Meanwhile, a QR code–based feedback system for overseas Pakistanis will be reviewed separately.
In addition, the One Patient, One ID integrated system for hospitals is in its final stages. The system aims to improve hospital performance and ensure better patient care.
