The Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) has issued a warning after a misleading advertisement claiming to offer tutor recruitment opportunities in the university’s name began circulating widely on social media platforms.
The university has clarified that it has no association with the viral advertisement and described it as completely fake. Officials urged the public not to trust or share unverified posts, especially those related to job opportunities, admissions, or official announcements.
AIOU advised students and job seekers to rely only on its official communication channels, including its website and verified social media pages, for accurate and up-to-date information.
The university further cautioned that falling for such fake advertisements could lead to financial fraud or misuse of personal information, adding that it is monitoring the situation and may take legal action against those spreading false content.
