Australia’s squad will arrive in Lahore on January 28 ahead of a three-match T20I series against Pakistan, with the fixtures locked in as both teams fine-tune preparations for the upcoming 2026 T20 World Cup in Sri Lanka and India.
The series will be played entirely at Gaddafi Stadium Lahore, with matches scheduled for January 29, January 31, and February 1. The tour marks Australia’s first set of T20 internationals in Pakistan in four years.
Pakistan is expected to use the home series as a major tune-up ahead of its World Cup campaign, while Australia will treat the Lahore matches as critical competitive game time before moving on for the next leg of its build-up.
Pakistan Cricket Board officials have welcomed the tour, calling it a high-profile start to the cricket calendar for local fans and urging supporters to turn up in large numbers to back both sides during the series.
Australia last played in Pakistan during their March–April 2022 tour, which included Tests and ODIs along with a single T20I in Lahore. That match was won narrowly by Australia, who also came out on top in the Test series, while Pakistan claimed the ODI series.
With both teams managing fitness and form ahead of a packed international schedule, the Lahore series will offer a timely chance to assess combinations and momentum before their World Cup campaigns begin.
