26 Roads in Karachi to Be Upgraded Under Rs. 5.54 Billion Project

The Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) has launched an infrastructure renewal program with an allocation of about Rs. 5.54 billion to rehabilitate 26 internal roads across the city, according to a statement issued on Friday.

The project covers a combined length of 68 kilometers and focuses on upgrading road conditions and improving traffic movement across multiple areas of the metropolis. The statement said the work aims to modernize urban infrastructure in line with the Sindh government’s plans to improve city connectivity.

The roads selected for rehabilitation are located in different districts and towns of Karachi.

These include Olympian Islahuddin Road, Naqash Kazmi Road, Sardar Ali Sabri Road, Sebha Akhtar Road, UP More Road, Peer Bazar Road, Al-Amna Road, Rahmina Road, several roads in North Nazimabad, Sakhi Hassan Street, 19-D Road, Roads No. 04 and 05, Badar Chowk Road, ZMC Road, Fakir Colony via Mominabad, Mesham Lea Road, Mission Road, Chand Bibi Road, Jinnah Square, Liaquat Market, Khokhrapar Dal Khana Road, Liaquat Road, Mehran Depot Road, and Hashim Raza Road.

KMC said the program will be implemented across the identified locations as part of the city’s ongoing road rehabilitation efforts.
