Xiaomi has introduced the UltraThin Magnetic Power Bank, a new compact charging accessory aimed at daily portability. The device measures just 6mm in thickness and weighs 98 grams, placing it among the thinnest magnetic power banks currently available.
The Xiaomi UltraThin Magnetic Power Bank attaches magnetically to compatible smartphones and supports wireless charging. When paired with Xiaomi 17 series devices, it delivers up to 15W of wireless charging. On iPhones, wireless charging output is limited to 7.5W.
For wired charging, Xiaomi has included a USB Type-C port that supports up to 22.5W output. The power bank can charge two devices at the same time by supporting simultaneous wired and wireless charging.
Inside, the power bank uses a 5,000 mAh high-density silicon-carbon battery. Xiaomi said this capacity is sufficient to charge an iPhone roughly once, depending on the model and usage conditions. The silicon-carbon battery chemistry allows higher energy density while maintaining a slim form factor.
To manage heat, Xiaomi integrated a 4,369mm² graphite sheet for heat dissipation. Battery status is displayed through four LED indicators, and a physical power button allows users to manually start or stop charging.
The UltraThin Magnetic Power Bank features an aluminum alloy shell with a smooth metallic finish. The surface that contacts the phone is made from fire-resistant fiberglass.
Xiaomi said the device includes ten layers of safety protection, covering overvoltage, overcurrent, short circuits, overheating, overcharging, over-discharging, and foreign object detection. Dual NTC temperature sensors monitor heat in real time and adjust charging behavior to limit heat buildup during operation.
The Xiaomi UltraThin Magnetic Power Bank has launched in Japan with a price of approximately $50.44. Xiaomi has not announced plans for a wider global release.
