Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) on Monday asked students seeking financial assistance for Spring Semester 2026 admissions to submit applications at their nearest regional campus by January 30.
The university is enrolling students nationwide and offering affordable, flexible education. Alongside admissions, AIOU provides financial aid for needy and deserving students.
Students who received assistance during the Autumn Semester 2025 can reapply through the Student Service Request system by January 23, while first-time applicants must submit forms by January 30 at their local campus.
AIOU also offers free matriculation-level education to students from tribal districts, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Balochistan, helping children in remote and underdeveloped areas access schooling.
Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Nasir Mahmood said the university ensures no child misses out on education due to financial constraints. He added that AIOU focuses on giving students from marginalized regions the tools to secure a brighter future.
He called the initiative a major step toward educational equality and said it spreads learning opportunities to disadvantaged communities across the country.
