Weather Department Predicts Light to Moderate Rain in Karachi

The Pakistan Meteorological Department has forecast rainfall across several cities of Sindh, including Karachi, as a new weather system approaches the province.

According to the department, a spell of western winds is expected to affect Sindh on January 22. Under this system, Jamshoro, Dadu, Thatta, Sujawal, and Hyderabad may receive rain accompanied by thunder on Thursday.

The forecast also predicts light rainfall in Tando Muhammad Khan, Tando Allahyar, Sanghar, Mirpurkhas, Umerkot, and Naushahro Feroze. Shaheed Benazirabad, Khairpur, Sukkur, Ghotki, Jacobabad, and Larkana are also likely to experience light rain on January 22.

The department said the same weather system could bring light to moderate rain to Karachi on January 22. Officials advised residents to remain cautious during wet conditions, especially in areas prone to water accumulation.
