Govt Launches Final Consultation on Pakistan’s Revised Cybersecurity Framework

The National Cyber Emergency Response Team (NCERT) has launched a stakeholder consultation on the revised Pakistan Information Security Framework 2025.

The updated framework, known as PISF 2025, has been published by NCERT for final review, and feedback is now being sought from public and private sector stakeholders, industry experts, and academia.

NCERT received 273 detailed comments from federal ministries, attached departments, private sector organisations, universities, and independent cybersecurity experts on the revised framework.

Feedback was carefully reviewed and incorporated into the revised version. Stakeholders have now been invited to submit their comments and observations on the revised framework by February 6, 2026. Officials said continued engagement during this phase will help ensure the framework reflects broad consensus and practical needs.

After completion of the consultation process, the final version of PISF 2025 will be submitted to the Government of Pakistan for approval by February 13, 2026.

NCERT said the revised framework aims to provide a stronger and more coherent foundation for protecting digital infrastructure and managing cyber risks across the country.
