Mega Motor Company, in partnership with BYD, has officially launched the BYD Atto 2 in Pakistan, expanding its new energy vehicle lineup and strengthening its presence in the urban electric SUV segment.

The launch took place at a dealership event in Lahore, with bookings now open nationwide. The Atto 2 is positioned as a practical, value-driven all-electric SUV designed specifically for everyday driving needs in Pakistan.

The BYD Atto 2 targets urban and suburban buyers seeking a transition from internal combustion engine vehicles to electric mobility. BYD says the vehicle is designed to combine intelligent technology, compact SUV practicality, and lower running costs to make EV ownership more accessible.

According to the company, the Atto 2 delivers up to 75% lower running and maintenance costs compared to similarly sized ICE vehicles, while offering a driving range of 380 km, making it suitable for daily commuting and regular intercity travel.

The BYD Atto 2 is priced at PKR 7.29 million in Pakistan, with a booking amount of PKR 1.4 million.

Charging Infrastructure Expansion

Beyond the vehicle launch, BYD-MMC, in partnership with HubcoGreen, is developing Pakistan’s first nationwide new energy vehicle charging corridor. The planned network will span approximately 1,300 kilometers from Karachi to Peshawar, covering major cities and motorways.
