The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has shared a fresh set of details for the 2026 Pakistan Super League (PSL 11) player auction, outlining base prices, bidding rules, squad requirements, and franchise purse limits as the league moves into a new recruitment cycle.
The update came after the conclusion of a dedicated PSL 11 auction workshop, held to brief franchises and other stakeholders on how the process will work this season.
PCB confirmed four base price brackets for the auction, all listed in Pakistani Rupees:
These categories will serve as the starting point for player valuations before franchises begin bidding.
To keep bidding structured, PCB also announced the minimum incremental bid steps:
Franchises are not restricted to these steps only, PCB said teams are allowed to raise bids beyond the minimum increments.
Each franchise must build a squad of at least 16 players and up to 20 players for PSL 11.
Teams will also be able to include five to seven foreign players, with the exact number linked to the final squad size—meaning bigger squads can carry more overseas options.
To ensure youth development remains part of the league’s DNA, PCB has made it compulsory for every team to have:
Players selected or retained in PSL 11 will sign two-year contracts with their franchises.
Looking beyond this season, franchises will be allowed to retain up to seven players for PSL 12. After PSL 12, the league will move into a grand auction model, where teams can retain a maximum of five players, and all released names will return to the auction pool.
PCB also reiterated an earlier policy: each team can directly sign one foreign player who did not feature in PSL 10.
The standard franchise purse is set at Rs. 45 crore, but PCB said it may be extended up to Rs. 50.5 crore to accommodate these direct foreign signings. The board will also support franchises in attracting top-tier international players.
