PSL 11 Player Auction Date Announced

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has confirmed that the PSL 11 Player Auction will be held on Wednesday, 11 February, setting the stage for one of the most closely watched events ahead of the next Pakistan Super League season.

The announcement was made after a comprehensive workshop at Gaddafi Stadium, where the league’s next recruitment cycle and retention framework were discussed in detail.

The session was led by PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi and PSL CEO Salman Naseer, with participation from representatives of all eight franchises, PSL management, PCB officials, members of Pakistan’s T20 World Cup squad, and other capped cricketers.

Several leading names from recent PSL editions were also present, including prominent batters Babar Azam and Fakhar Zaman, and star bowlers Hasan Ali and Shaheen Shah Afridi.

In the days leading up to this confirmation, a leaked court document stated that the PSL 11 player auction was set for 14 February. That claim has since been debunked, with PCB now officially announcing 11 February as the auction date.

While the earlier report appears to reflect a date that was at some stage being considered, the board has not indicated that the schedule was changed because of the leak, only that the auction will take place on the newly confirmed date.
