CDA Seeks Full Details of Cases Against Entire Staff After Firing 300 Officers

The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has sought comprehensive details of criminal proceedings, court cases, and disciplinary actions involving its employees as part of an internal compliance exercise.

The directive was issued through a circular by the Labour Relations and Regulation Directorate, following a notification from the CDA Law Wing.

According to the circular dated January 23, 2026, all directorates, wings, and departments have been instructed to submit complete records of criminal cases, FIRs, inquiries, Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) investigations, court proceedings, and disciplinary matters concerning officials under their administrative control. The information is being sought to ensure proper record-keeping and compliance with applicable service rules and regulations.

The development follows the recent removal of nearly 300 officers and employees from their posts., who were directed to report to the Human Resource Directorate (HRD). Sources said the officials were withdrawn based on various reports indicating administrative and disciplinary concerns across different wings of the authority.

In its latest move, the Law Wing has formally sought detailed information from all wings as part of standard procedure. The required particulars include the name, designation, basic pay scale (BPS), CNIC, place of posting, nature of offence or allegation, FIR details, status of departmental proceedings, stage of court cases, and outcomes where applicable.

The circular further directs that the requisite information, duly signed by the concerned Director or Head of Wing, be submitted at the earliest. The directive has been circulated to all director generals, directors, the Director General Law, and senior management.
