PMDC Fixes Tuition Fees for Private Medical Colleges

The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) has announced a cap on tuition fees for MBBS and BDS programs in private medical and dental colleges across the country. The move follows recommendations by a committee constituted by the Prime Minister of Pakistan.

According to a notification, the tuition fee, including all ancillary charges, has been fixed at PKR 1.8 million for all students from first to final year during the 2024-25 session. For the 2025-26 session, the tuition fee has been capped at PKR 1.89 million, reflecting a 5% increase, and will apply to all students in all years.

From 2026 onwards, any further increase in tuition fees will be tied strictly to the Consumer Price Index (CPI), with official notification to follow.
