The Directorate of Higher Education Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has issued strict Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for welcome and farewell events, sports galas, and other cultural programs in women’s colleges, mandating strict compliance in the future.
According to the directive, college administrations must seek prior approval from the Director or Regional Director of Higher Education before organizing any event.
A complete list of participants and guests must also be submitted to the authorities in advance.
The SOPs prohibit music, dance, modeling, or any similar performances. Students must wear college uniforms during all events, and mobile phone use is strictly banned during college hours and functions.
Sharing videos or photos of events on social media is also prohibited.
The Directorate emphasized that all events must adhere to social and cultural values, and strict security arrangements will be enforced to ensure student safety and privacy.
Colleges or principals failing to comply with the SOPs will face strict action.
