Authorities will organise a Ramzan Bachat Festival at Jilani Park from February 13 to 15 to provide relief to citizens ahead of Ramadan through discounted essential food items.
A coordination meeting chaired by DG Food Authority Asim Javed reviewed arrangements with all stakeholders to ensure smooth implementation of the initiative.
Officials said special relief stalls will offer flour, ghee, pulses, sugar, rice, fruits, vegetables, and other essential commodities at reduced prices to help citizens manage household expenses before Ramadan.
DG Food Authority Asim Javed said strict monitoring measures will ensure food safety and quality standards during the festival, with continuous checks on supply and pricing at all stalls.
In addition to shopping facilities, the festival will showcase local culture and traditions, offering families an opportunity for entertainment alongside discounted shopping.
Officials stated that providing relief to the public before Ramadan remains a government priority, with special price concessions planned across multiple essential items.
