Days after rolling out its electronic stamp system, the capital administration set February 13 as the final date for submitting all types of stamp papers. After that date, no public or private institution will accept traditional stamp papers.
Deputy Commissioner Islamabad Irfan Nawaz Memon announced the decision in a notification issued Tuesday. The notice stated that authorities have directed the federal treasury office to stop issuing judicial and non judicial stamp papers to vendors and the public effective January 26, 2026.
With the new e stamping system now in place, officials instructed all stamp vendors operating in the Islamabad Capital Territory to clear their remaining stock of manual judicial and non judicial stamp papers by February 12.
The notification further stated that on February 13, which falls on a Friday, all stamp vendors must submit their Stamp Vendor Registers along with their rubber stamps to the office of the Additional Deputy Commissioner Revenue and District Collector Islamabad.
Authorities warned that no department, office, court, or other authority in Islamabad will accept manual stamp papers after the deadline under any circumstances. Officials said they will take strict legal action under relevant laws and rules against anyone who violates the directive.
The capital administration introduced the e stamping service on February 1, replacing the long standing traditional stamp paper system. Officials said the digital process will make it easier for citizens to obtain stamps and reduce the risk of fraud, particularly in property and real estate transactions.
