Rawalpindi Sets Sights on Global Stage With New Brand Partner Ahead of PSL 11

The Rawalpindi franchise for Pakistan Super League (PSL) has appointed a London-based global sports brand development partner to lead the creation of its franchise identity and long-term brand ecosystem.

The move marks a significant step in the franchise’s ambition to become a modern and globally competitive sports brand. The newly appointed agency, previously known as Designroom Sport and now operating as WildPigs, brings extensive international experience in sports brand development.

Over the years, the agency has delivered campaigns across both cricket and non-cricket properties. It has worked with major international sports organizations and rights holders, including the UEFA Champions League, The FA Cup, Concacaf, SA20, the Football Association of Wales, FIBA, and the International Tennis Federation (ITF). In cricket, the agency has also contributed to the ECB’s Ashes identity work.

As the Rawalpindi franchise prepares for its next chapter, its focus is clear: building a bold, modern, and globally competitive franchise identity that meets international standards in storytelling, fan engagement, and commercial development.

Ahsan Tahir, owner of the Rawalpindi franchise, said in an official press release issued by the franchise that Rawalpindi is central to the team’s identity and vision. He emphasized the goal of building a brand that represents the city, its passion, history, and people, while also appealing to Pakistanis and a global audience.

Tim Fox, spokesperson for WildPigs, also said in the press release that the partnership offers an opportunity to help shape the opening chapter of a new cricketing legacy in Rawalpindi. He noted that the city’s energy and passion will be reflected in an identity designed to unite fans, inspire players, and establish the franchise on the global stage.

Rawalpindi’s entry into the Pakistan Super League (PSL) follows Walee Technologies’ record-breaking purchase of the Multan Sultans franchise rights for Rs. 245 crore, making it one of the new entrants in the PSL for the 2026 season.

The new ownership group has relocated and rebranded the team as Rawalpindi, officially ending Multan’s tenure in the PSL and giving the twin cities their own franchise.
