The federal government has officially ordered all private school and college students in Islamabad, from Class 9 onward, to enroll in mandatory digital safety and AI courses.
This latest initiative by the Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training aims to equip the younger generation with essential knowledge in Modern AI and Cybersecurity, preparing them for an increasingly digital-first academic and professional landscape.
Under the new directive issued by ICT-PEIRA, all eligible students in the Islamabad Capital Territory must have their training accounts activated through the official government skills portal by March 8, 2026.
While the enrollment and account activation must be completed immediately, the Ministry has provided a flexible window for the actual coursework, allowing students to finish the assigned modules during their upcoming summer vacations or after the conclusion of their final examinations.
This strategic timing is designed to ensure that the rigorous academic schedule is not disrupted while still achieving the goal of nationwide digital capacity building.
School administrations have been advised to facilitate this process urgently, ensuring every student from the ninth grade up is registered to become part of Pakistan’s growing digitally-secure student body.
