OnePlus has officially confirmed the existence of the OnePlus 15T after months of rumors and speculation. Earlier this year, reports suggested the device would debut in March. The company has now teased its upcoming launch in China.
In a post on Weibo, OnePlus Community Manager Shuai Lan confirmed that the OnePlus 15T will arrive soon. The device is described as a compact smartphone and is being positioned as a “dream phone” for users who prefer smaller devices. According to leaks, the phone may be available in three color options: Healing White Chocolate, Pure Cocoa, and Relaxing Match.
MagSafe Support
Notable Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station revealed that the OnePlus 15T will have support for magnetic wireless charging, and it will also be compatible with Apple’s MagSafe accessories. OnePlus is apparently also adding support for other cool magnetic accessories, such as a 1cm-thin external cooling fan that can magnetically attach to the 15T, which should help with gaming and other taxing tasks.
Expected Specifications
While full specifications have not been officially announced, recent leaks indicate that the OnePlus 15T will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. The device is also expected to include wireless charging support.
Reports suggest the phone will feature a 6.32-inch AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution. It is rumored to include a dual rear camera setup consisting of a 50MP main sensor and a 50MP telephoto lens.
For selfies, the OnePlus 15T is tipped to carry a 16MP front-facing camera. The handset is said to weigh 194 grams.
The OnePlus 15T is also rumored to pack the largest battery ever fitted into a device of its size, with a capacity between 7,000 mAh and 8,000 mAh, along with support for 100W wired charging.
OnePlus has not yet announced an exact launch date, but the device is expected to debut in China soon.
