Punjab Schools Ordered to Suspend Morning Assemblies Amid Security Concerns

Amid rising security concerns, the Education Department has announced urgent safety measures for schools across the province.

According to the new directives, morning assemblies in all public and private schools have been suspended until further notice to avoid large gatherings of students.

The department has also directed all teachers to download the Safe City App immediately so they can quickly inform relevant authorities in case of any emergency.

The move aims to strengthen coordination between schools and law-enforcement agencies.

Authorities have further ordered that all CCTV cameras installed in schools must remain fully operational. Schools have also been instructed to deploy security guards and ensure their presence at the main gates.

In addition, the Education Department has asked education authorities to release funds to school accounts immediately to avoid financial obstacles in implementing security arrangements.

Schools have also been directed to conduct regular emergency drills and train students to respond to potential emergencies.

Teachers have been instructed to ensure that students do not participate in any protests or rallies.
