The Pakistani rupee (PKR) closed in green against the US Dollar (USD) for the 112th consecutive day on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, it posted gains against most of the other major currencies during today’s session.
The PKR closed at 279.42 after gaining three paisas against the US Dollar today.

Gold and other precious metals lost value in the past two days which confused investors across the globe. Meanwhile the forex market is sporting some big losers, particularly western currencies. This is good for Asian currencies like PKR and the Indian Rupee who now have to choose different markets for energy products they would normally receive from the Middle Eastern region, a trader told ProPakistani.
PKR gained four paisas against the UAE Dirham (AED) and one paisa against the Saudi Riyal (SAR).
Meanwhile, it lost 59 paisas against the British Pound (GBP) but gained Rs. 1.06 against the Euro (EUR).
