Also, the price of gold per tola dropped by Rs. 10,000 to reach Rs. 539,962, according to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA). The international rate of gold also decreased by $100, bringing it to $5,172 per ounce.

Gold and other precious metals lost value in the past two days which confused investors across the globe. Meanwhile the forex market is sporting some big losers, particularly western currencies. This is good for Asian currencies like PKR and the Indian Rupee who now have to choose different markets for energy products they would normally receive from the Middle Eastern region, a trader told ProPakistani.

Other Currencies

PKR gained four paisas against the UAE Dirham (AED) and one paisa against the Saudi Riyal (SAR).

Meanwhile, it lost 59 paisas against the British Pound (GBP) but gained Rs. 1.06 against the Euro (EUR).
