Pindiz Raise Eyebrows With ‘Unique’ Logo Ahead of PSL 11

The Rawalpindi franchise, aka the Pindiz, have unveiled their official team crest ahead of the 2026 Pakistan Super League (PSL 11) season.

The new logo has already sparked mixed reactions online, with many fans comparing it to a beverage brand rather than a cricket franchise identity.

The franchise revealed the logo during an art-led graffiti event at the Shahbaz Sharif Sports Complex in Rawalpindi, positioning the launch as a cultural celebration tied closely to the city’s sporting roots.

According to the franchise, the crest is built around an aggressive, high-energy identity. The design features a prominent ‘P’ monogram meant to reflect pace and intensity, with a bright orange center and a neon green outline.

However, the rollout quickly drew criticism on social media. Some users said the logo looks more like an “energy drink” or “soda” brand, with a number of fans specifically likening it to Gatorade-style branding. Others were more blunt, calling it unimpressive and even labeling it among the worst cricket logos they had seen.

The launch itself featured a high-profile finish, with fast bowler Naseem Shah completing the final section of the graffiti artwork moments before the full crest was revealed.

Celebrations continued with a bike rally along Murree Road, featuring over 100 bikers and a convoy of cars in team colors.

The procession drew public attention as it moved through one of the city’s busiest routes before ending at two well-known local eateries, Mamu Burger and Pappu Soda.

Franchise owner Ahsan Tahir said the team wanted to introduce its identity in a way that reflected Rawalpindi’s bold spirit, adding that the aim is to grow The Pindiz beyond a domestic cricket side into a wider sports brand with year-round fan engagement.
