Punjab Laptop Scheme Phase 2 Deadline Extended

The Higher Education Department (HED) has extended the deadline for submitting applications for Phase 2 of the Laptop Scheme, giving students additional time to apply.

Students can now submit their applications online until March 20, while applications will only be accepted through the online system.

The Higher Education Department has confirmed that 131,805 applications have already been received for Phase 2 of the scheme.

According to details, the scheme allows students from public universities as well as private universities to apply. Students enrolled in federally chartered universities and Allama Iqbal Open University are also eligible to submit applications under the program.

The initiative has been designed to empower young people through modern technology and reduce the digital divide.

Under the vision of the Chief Minister of Punjab, the scheme aims to provide students with access to educational and digital resources, enabling them to participate in online education, research, freelancing, and other digital activities.

The scheme was launched under the leadership of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, and laptops are provided to students based on defined criteria and merit.

Through this program, students in the higher education sector are provided with modern devices to support online learning, research, data analysis, freelancing, and other digital activities, helping prepare them for future opportunities.
