The Punjab government has introduced a new initiative to evaluate the academic performance of outsourced schools by linking students’ results directly with government payments.
Under the decision, only those schools that achieve more than 90 percent pass results will receive payment per student, while funds for schools with poor performance will be withheld.
For outsourced schools, PECTA will conduct a special school-based test, and the examination results will be sent to the Punjab government.
The cost of printing exam papers will also be borne by PECTA, while divisional directors and senior officials will supervise the process.
Students of grades one and two will also undergo oral examinations to ensure a comprehensive assessment of early education performance.
The Punjab Education Department said the initiative aims to improve the academic performance of outsourced schools and ensure that only schools demonstrating better results receive government payments.
