Lahore Introduces New Rule for Bike-Hailing Services

The Lahore traffic police have made helmets mandatory for both the rider and the passenger using motorcycle ride-hailing services in the city.

Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Lahore Athar Waheed directed ride-hailing companies operating bike services to ensure that passengers are also provided with helmets during travel.

Under the decision, companies offering motorcycle ride services will be required to keep an additional helmet for passengers so that both the rider and the passenger wear helmets during double riding.

The CTO stated that double riding without helmets is already prohibited and warned that strict action will be taken in case of violations.

Ride-hailing companies have been instructed to ensure compliance with the directive and provide an extra helmet for every passenger using bike services in Lahore.
