The government of Punjab on Tuesday carried out a major reshuffle in the provincial bureaucracy, transferring and posting several officers across departments and districts just days before Eid-ul-Fitr.
According to official notifications, Muhammad Faisal Saleem has been appointed Additional Secretary to the Additional Chief Secretary, while Asadullah will serve as Additional Secretary (Admin) in the Communication and Works Department.
The government also posted Khurram Pervez to the Punjab Rural Municipal Services Company (PRMSC) and appointed Rana Musa Tahir as Deputy Secretary in the Finance Department.
At the district level, several new appointments were made. Sherina Ghulam Murtaza Junejo has been posted as ADCR in Faisalabad, Ahmed Haroon as ADCR in Sargodha, and Sarah Loni as ADCR in Narowal.
Similarly, Shagufta Jabeen will serve as ADCR in Bahawalpur, Muhammad Fazal Abbas in Khanewal, and Marhaba Naimat in Sahiwal.
In the wildlife sector, Fahad Mahmood has been appointed Additional Chief of the Punjab Wildlife and Parks Department. Meanwhile, Captain (R) Sami Tayyab Khan has been posted to the Lahore Development Authority, and Captain (R) Osama Majeed to the Punjab Food Authority.
Administrative adjustments also include Saria Haider, previously ADCR in Mianwali, being made an Officer on Special Duty (OSD), with Mohammad Shahid appointed in her place. Zainab Jehandad has been named Deputy Secretary in the Interior Department, while Muhammad Kamran Afzal will serve as Deputy Secretary in the Local Government Department.
Further postings include Alizeh Rehan as DCG in Jhelum, Anwar Ali as ADCG in Faisalabad, and Sufyan Dilawar as ADCG in Nankana Sahib. Anam Babar has been appointed Deputy Secretary in the Specialized Healthcare Department, while Ahmed Raza Butt will serve as Deputy Secretary in the Energy Department.
The government said the large-scale reshuffle aims to improve administrative efficiency and strengthen governance across the province, with officers expected to assume their new responsibilities immediately.
