Multan Sultans Announce New Vice Captain for PSL 11

Multan Sultans have officially appointed Pakistan’s Test captain Shan Masood as the team’s vice captain for the 2026 Pakistan Super League (PSL 11) season.

The franchise made key leadership updates ahead of PSL 11. Pakistan’s red ball skipper Shan Masood has been appointed as vice-captain for Multan, marking his return to the side where he previously led the team to the playoffs in the 2020 edition.

Shan Masood expressed his excitement about rejoining the Sultans, calling it a “return home” and hoping for a memorable season.

Masood’s history with the franchise includes captaining them during PSL 2020, where they finished as table-toppers before reaching the playoffs. He later moved on, including a stint with Karachi Kings, but now returns to Multan as part of the leadership group Australian international Ashton Turner.

Multan Sultans head into PSL 11 with a balanced and experienced squad featuring a mix of international stars and local talent. Alongside Masood, Nawaz, and Wasim Jr, the squad includes prominent names such as Steve Smith, Tabraiz Shamsi, Peter Siddle, Josh Philippe, and emerging players like Arafat Minhas and Sahibzada Farhan, giving the franchise depth across all departments.

With a fresh look and renewed leadership structure, Multan Sultans appear set to make a strong statement heading into PSL 11, which is scheduled to run from March 26 to May 3.
