Pak Suzuki Planning to Relaunch Famous But Discontinued Vehicle

Pak Suzuki Motor Company Ltd (PSMCL) is reportedly planning to bring back the Ravi pickup in Pakistan, marking a return of the model after its discontinuation. The Suzuki Ravi previously operated in the small commercial vehicle segment, where it was used for transport and delivery in urban and semi-urban areas.

Market sources indicate that Pak Suzuki is expected to launch the Ravi pickup again around September 2026. The earlier model’s discontinuation had left a gap in the entry-level commercial vehicle category.

In October last year, Pak Suzuki increased the price of the discontinued Ravi by Rs.100,000. The revision raised the ex-factory price to Rs.2.075 million from Rs.1.975 million.

The company communicated the price revision to authorized dealers through a circular, despite production of the model having already been halted.

The reported timeline suggests that the Ravi could return to the market, although the company has not issued an official confirmation.

  • I think Suzuki should have introduced the JDM-spec Carry in its place. Ravi’s platform is too old now and most work trucks are not 660cc or 800cc anymore.

  • The government shouldn’t allow relaunch of this trash &:that too with such a heavy price tag !
