MG Pakistan has seemingly stopped production of the current-generation HS Essence, signaling a transition in its SUV lineup. The standard 1.5L turbocharged variant first launched in 2020 and has remained a key part of the brand’s portfolio.
Several indicators point to the model’s exit from the market. MG Motors Pakistan has removed the HS Essence from its official website, while its social media platforms show no recent promotional activity related to the variant.
Dealerships have confirmed that the company has halted local assembly of the HS Essence, reinforcing signs that production has ended. Current orders now appear to focus only on the plug-in hybrid variant of the SUV.
MG has not issued an official statement on the development. However, the available signals indicate that the company could be preparing to introduce a next-generation MG HS model in Pakistan.
