The Finance Minister highlighted that the spectrum auction was conducted transparently, balancing pricing considerations with the need to foster a sustainable telecom ecosystem. He described the outcome as a “win-win-win” for all stakeholders, particularly benefiting citizens through better connectivity and digital services.

The auction’s success has drawn international recognition, elevating Pakistan’s profile in global telecom discussions. The Finance Minister reaffirmed the government’s commitment to transparency, consistent policy, and investor facilitation under the leadership of the Prime Minister.

Discussions also covered Pakistan’s broader economic outlook, ongoing reforms, and efforts to enhance international partnerships. The Finance Minister briefed the delegation on initiatives aimed at strengthening macroeconomic stability, attracting foreign investment, and leveraging emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence and digital finance.

Terzioğlu praised the government’s efforts to create a favorable investment environment and reaffirmed VEON’s plan to expand its footprint in Pakistan, emphasizing ambitions to move beyond traditional telecom services and contribute to the nation’s digital transformation.

Aamir Ibrahim, CEO Jazz, highlighted the company’s role in supporting the government’s digitization agenda, particularly in digital payments and financial inclusion. He noted JazzCash’s contributions to targeted subsidy delivery and QR code-based payment solutions developed in collaboration with government institutions.

The Finance Minister acknowledged Jazz and VEON’s role in strengthening Pakistan’s digital ecosystem, particularly in advancing the vision of a cashless economy. He appreciated their continued support in promoting innovation, financial inclusion, and technology-driven growth.
