Sindh will resume on-campus education across all institutions from April 1, ending the temporary shift to online classes.
Provincial Information Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon said schools, colleges, and universities will restart physical classes from Wednesday. He added that institutions will observe Saturdays as a weekly holiday.
The provincial government had suspended regular classes from March 16 to 31, during which institutions carried out curriculum-related activities under austerity measures introduced amid the US–Israel–Iran conflict.
The measures formed part of a broader cost-control plan announced by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in response to rising global fuel pressures linked to Middle East tensions.
Separately, Sindh Education Minister Sardar Ali Shah said the new academic year will also begin on April 1. He confirmed that schools will follow a two-day weekend, with classes held from Monday to Friday. He urged students and teaching staff to adjust back to classroom learning as regular academic activities resume across the province.
