Samsung has introduced the Galaxy A37 and Galaxy A57, building on the success of their predecessors. The Galaxy A56 was the best-selling phone in Europe last year, and both the A56 and A36 ranked among the most popular devices.
The new models follow a similar formula but bring improvements in build quality, performance, and camera and AI features.
The Galaxy A57 features a slimmer metal frame, measuring 6.9mm thick and weighing 179g. This is a reduction from the Galaxy A56’s 7.4mm thickness and 198g weight. It also gains an IP68 rating for improved water and dust resistance.
The Galaxy A37 retains a plastic build with the same dimensions as before, measuring 7.4mm thick and weighing 196g. It also receives an upgrade to IP68 from IP67 on the previous generation.
Both devices feature 6.7-inch Super AMOLED displays with 1080p+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. While not officially confirmed, the displays are expected to use Gorilla Glass Victus+ protection.
The Galaxy A57 will be available in Awesome Navy, Awesome Gray, Awesome Icyblue, and Awesome Lilac.
The Galaxy A37 will be offered in Awesome Lavender, Awesome Charcoal, Awesome Graygreen, and Awesome White.
The Galaxy A57 is powered by the Exynos 1680 chipset, built on a 4nm process. It includes the Xclipse 550 GPU and a neural processing unit delivering 19.6 TOPS, up from 14.7 TOPS on the previous generation. The device also includes a vapor chamber that is 13% larger to improve sustained performance.
The Galaxy A37 uses the Exynos 1480 chipset, previously seen in the Galaxy A55.
Memory configurations for the Galaxy A37 include 6GB/128GB, 8GB/128GB, 8GB/256GB, and 12GB/256GB.
The Galaxy A57 offers 8GB/128GB, 8GB/256GB, 12GB/256GB, and 12GB/512GB options, though availability may vary by region.
Both phones run One UI 8.5 based on Android 16 and will receive six years of major OS updates and security patches.
The A57 also includes AI-driven features such as Best Face with expanded support for multiple photos and continuous shooting, Auto Trim for video editing, an improved Object Eraser, and a Voice Recorder app with Voice Transcription.
Both models feature a 50MP main camera with an f/1.8 aperture and improved Nightography for low-light photography and video.
They also share a 12MP front-facing camera with an f/2.2 aperture.
The Galaxy A57 includes a 12MP ultrawide camera, while the Galaxy A37 uses an 8MP ultrawide sensor.
Both devices include a 5MP macro camera as the third rear sensor.
The Galaxy A37 and A57 are equipped with 5,000mAh batteries and support 45W Super Fast Charging 2.0. The phones can reach 0 to 60% charge in approximately 30 minutes.
The devices will be available from April 9 or 10, depending on the region.
In the United States, the Galaxy A37 starts at $450, while the Galaxy A57 starts at $550.
