The federal government has increased the prices of petroleum products, raising the price of petrol by Rs. 137.23 per litre and high-speed diesel (HSD) by Rs. 184.49 per litre.
The new price of petrol will be Rs. 458.4 and diesel will be sold at Rs. 520.35 per litre.
Calculations
Previous petrol price = 458.40 − 137.23 = Rs. 321.17 per litre
- Diesel new price: Rs. 520.35
- Increase: Rs. 184.49
Previous diesel price = 520.35 − 184.49 = Rs. 335.86 per litre
- Petrol: Rs. 321.17 → Rs. 458.40 (+Rs. 137.23)
- Diesel: Rs. 335.86 → Rs. 520.35 (+Rs. 184.49)
A week ago, the federal government kept both petrol and diesel rates unchanged despite the trade crisis caused by the Gulf War.
In the past 6 fuel price reviews, the federal government has increased fuel rates in 4 out of 6 sessions.

First they charged people for generating solar energy
Then imposed fixed charges on everyone (while claiming non solar were being burdened)
Then they gave tax relief to real estate devs and builders while Increasing taxes for everyone else
Then they deregulated sugar sector claiming no obstacles
Now increased prices despite claiming iran gave us tankers.
Oh and supported trump for prize
