Google Upgrades Its Cloud Storage Limit For Free

Google has quietly upgraded its AI Pro subscription by increasing the included cloud storage from 2TB to 5TB, without raising the monthly price. The plan still costs around $20 per month, but now gives users an additional 3TB of storage across Google Drive, Gmail, and Google Photos at no extra charge.

The update makes the subscription more practical for everyday users. While AI plans are often marketed with features like advanced chatbots and content generation tools, they become easier to justify when they also address a common issue: limited cloud storage.

Google’s official AI plan pages now list 5TB of storage as part of the AI Pro package. Recent reports confirm that this increase is already in effect and does not come with any price change. This move strengthens the overall value of the plan, turning it from a concept into a more tangible offering.

Although Google AI Pro includes access to Gemini and other premium AI features, the storage upgrade stands out as the most immediately useful benefit. With 5TB available, the plan now feels less like an AI-focused subscription with added storage and more like a large storage package that also includes AI tools.

The change is significant because cloud storage remains one of the most practical and widely used subscription features. Unlike AI tools, which may not appeal to everyone, increased storage is something most users can benefit from right away.
