The government on Monday assured that fuel rates will be reduced once the current situation returns to normal.
The joint parliamentary party meeting of the ruling coalition was held under the chairmanship of Defence Minister Khawaja Asif.
The meeting was attended by senior leaders from coalition parties, including Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal, Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb, Minister of State for Petroleum Ali Pervaiz Malik, and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Tariq Fazal Chaudhry.
During the briefing, Ali Pervaiz Malik informed parliamentary leaders about the current fuel supply situation and said the government had taken immediate steps to ensure the uninterrupted availability of petroleum products across the country.
After the meeting, lawmakers expressed confidence in the federal government’s policy measures.
All ministers present during the meeting assured that as soon as conditions stabilize, petroleum product prices will be brought down, while further relief measures are also under consideration.
