IPL Star Praises RawalPindiz Batter’s Power-Hitting Display in PSL 11 Clash

West Indies spinner Akeal Hosein, currently representing Chennai Super Kings in the IPL, praised RawalPindiz batter Dian Forrester for his aggressive performance during a recent 2026 Pakistan Super League (PSL 11) match against Multan Sultans.

In a video shared on his Instagram story, Hosein applauded Forrester’s explosive cameo. The batter scored 24 runs off just 11 deliveries, including one boundary and three consecutive sixes during Mohammad Nawaz’s spell.

Hosein, who is currently in India for IPL duties, recorded the innings from his hotel room while watching the match. He specifically praised Forrester’s ability to hit back-to-back sixes under pressure.

Despite Forrester’s effort, RawalPindiz suffered their fourth consecutive defeat in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 11, losing to Multan Sultans at Gaddafi Stadium.

Batting first, the Rizwan-led Pindiz posted 182-8 in 20 overs. Sam Billings top-scored with an unbeaten 56 off 34 balls, hitting seven fours and one six. He was supported by Kamran Ghulam, who added 35 off 24 deliveries, including three fours and two sixes.

For Multan Sultans, Faisal Akram was the standout bowler, taking four wickets for 31 runs in four overs. Arafat Minhas claimed two wickets, while Muhammad Ismail and Peter Siddle picked up one wicket each.

In response, the 2021 champions chased down the 183-run target comfortably, losing just three wickets with 22 balls remaining.

Sahibzada Farhan led the chase with 68 off 38 balls, including four fours and five sixes. He was well supported by Josh Philippe, who scored 56 off 30 deliveries, striking six fours and three sixes. The pair added 110 runs for the second wicket.

After their dismissals, captain Ashton Turner and vice-captain Shan Masood guided the Sultans to victory with an unbeaten 47-run partnership for the fourth wicket.
