Islamabad United fast bowler Mir Hamza Sajjad suffered a head injury during a training session in Karachi earlier today after being struck by the ball.
According to initial details, the incident took place during net practice. Hamza was hit on the head while bowling and was immediately attended to before being shifted to Aga Khan Hospital.
Sources said the player lost consciousness after the impact, prompting urgent medical attention and suspension of the training session.
Islamabad United later confirmed that Hamza is conscious and vitally stable. A precautionary CT scan has also been scheduled to rule out any serious injury.
The incident cast a shadow over the team camp, with practice called off following the scare.
For now, the encouraging sign for Islamabad United is that the pacer is stable and under medical observation, though further clarity is expected after the scan results.
