Oppo A6 Series Gets Yet Another Model With Strong Battery Life

Oppo has introduced the Oppo A6k in China as part of its A-series lineup. The device targets budget users, with a strong focus on battery life while offering standard features for everyday use.

Design and Display

The Oppo A6k comes with a 6.75-inch LCD panel featuring an HD+ resolution of 1570 × 720 pixels. Instead of focusing on sharpness, the display emphasizes smoothness, offering a 120Hz refresh rate and a 240Hz touch sampling rate for fluid navigation.

The screen delivers up to 900 nits of typical brightness and peaks at 1125 nits, which should support outdoor visibility. The device is available in Dawn Gold, Twilight Blue, and Seashell White color options.

Internals and Software

The phone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset, paired with LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 storage. This setup is designed to handle everyday tasks such as calling, messaging, web browsing, video streaming, and light gaming.

Benchmark results reach around 530,000 on AnTuTu v11 and approximately 770 and 1980 on Geekbench 6. The device also includes a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for security.

Cameras

On the back, the Oppo A6k features a 50MP primary camera along with a 2MP monochrome sensor. For selfies and video calls, the device includes an 8MP front-facing camera.

Battery and Pricing

The main highlight of the Oppo A6k is its 7,000 mAh battery, which is expected to last more than a full day and potentially extend into a second day depending on usage.

It supports 45W SuperVOOC charging and is compatible with UFCS and other charging standards.

The phone is available in three configurations in China. The 8GB + 256GB variant is priced at $290, the 8GB + 512GB model costs $319, and the 12GB + 256GB version is priced at $348.
