The Punjab Masstransit Authority has introduced a new facility at one of its metro stations, adding to recent developments across the public transport system.
A vending machine has been installed at Anarkali Station, allowing passengers to purchase snacks and beverages during their commute. The addition is aimed at improving on-site amenities and providing greater convenience for daily riders.
Separately, the administration of the Orange Line Metro Train has introduced a new requirement for passengers availing free travel.
Authorities have made it mandatory for such passengers to carry a valid Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC) for verification.
Passengers without proper identification will not be allowed to use the free travel facility, as checks have been implemented at stations.
