BISE Rawalpindi Postpones Exams at 64 City Centers

The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE), Rawalpindi, has postponed examinations scheduled for April 10 at 64 centers in Rawalpindi city after the district administration declared a local holiday.

In its notification issued, the board stated that the decision applies only to examination centers located within Rawalpindi city. Exams in other districts and suburban areas falling under BISE Rawalpindi’s jurisdiction will continue according to the previously announced schedule.

The postponed papers include Urdu (Compulsory) and Geography of Pakistan in the morning session, while the evening session was set to feature Urdu (Compulsory) and Urdu (Dars-e-Nizami Group) papers.

BISE Rawalpindi said a revised date for the affected exams will be announced later. Students appearing at centers outside the city, however, have been instructed to follow the original timetable.

The move adds to a growing list of disruptions linked to the holiday-related arrangements in the twin cities. Over the past two days, authorities have already announced closures and changes affecting schools and colleges, public offices, interviews, and other services in and around Islamabad and Rawalpindi.

The latest decision also creates a split situation for students under the Rawalpindi board, with candidates inside the city facing delays while those in surrounding areas are still expected to appear as planned.

In a separate education-related development, Class 8 students in Rawalpindi were also able to access their results online this week through the provincial portal, marking another major update for students in the district.
