LESCO Begins Monitoring Official Vehicles Under Efficiency Drive

LESCO has launched a monitoring campaign of its official vehicles to promote energy efficiency and ensure effective use of government resources.

Intelligence Bureau (IB) officers visited all LESCO offices to record parked vehicles and inspect their usage.

Initially, fuel for desk officers’ vehicles was temporarily restricted. Now, officials can park and operate their vehicles at designated offices, but the IB has warned that unauthorized use on public roads will result in strict action.

To support operational and field staff, LESCO has reduced fuel allocations while allowing limited vehicle use, emphasizing conservation and adherence to government directives.

The campaign aims to lower energy consumption and improve the accountability of government assets.
