Balochistan to Launch Digital Monitoring System for Field Officers

The Balochistan government has decided to introduce a modern digital monitoring system to improve attendance, performance, and supervision of field officers across the province.

The decision was taken during a high-level meeting chaired by Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti to review the progress of ongoing development projects.

Under the new system, authorities will implement a live, location-based attendance mechanism to verify officers’ presence at their assigned postings and monitor development schemes in real time.

Officials said the move aims to enhance transparency, accountability, and efficiency in government operations.

During the meeting, departmental secretaries briefed participants on the status of development projects, highlighting key challenges and suggesting measures for improvement.

Chief Minister Bugti directed all departments to complete ongoing development projects by June, stressing that district officers must remain present in the field instead of staying in Quetta.

He warned that strict action would be taken against officers absent from their duties for more than 10 days, adding that effective field monitoring is essential to resolve public issues and meet development targets.

Officials believe the digital system will play a key role in strengthening governance and ensuring the timely completion of projects.
