Note: These changes apply to importers only, not to end consumers who have not paid any PTA taxes for approval.
Custom values for some smartphone brands have been updated yet again by the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), only a few months after the last update in January 2026. This has increased import tax charges on these smartphones, commonly known as “PTA tax”, meaning more expensive used older generation phones for us.
Since we have already covered the updated PTA taxes for the iPhone 15 series, it is now time to talk about the iPhone 14 lineup, which includes the iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus, iPhone 14 Pro, and iPhone 14 Pro Max, but no changes have been made to the iPhone 14 Plus so far.
Based on these phones’ new custom value, we can determine the PTA taxes applied to each model.
| Model | Old Tax on CNIC (January 2026) | Old Tax on Passport (January 2026) | New Tax on CNIC (April 2026) | New Tax on Passport (April 2026) |
| iPhone 14 | Rs. 27,045 | Rs. 24,584 | Rs. 30,321 | Rs. 27,860 |
| iPhone 14 Pro | Rs. 31,077 | Rs. 28,616 | Rs. 34,101 | Rs. 31,640 |
| iPhone 14 Pro Max | Rs. 45,564 | Rs. 39,944 | Rs. 48,235 | Rs. 42,615 |
These numbers were calculated based on the custom values shown below.
| Model | Old Custom Value (January 2026) | New Custom Value (April 2026) |
| iPhone 14 | $210 | $275 |
| iPhone 14 Pro | $290 | $350 |
| iPhone 14 Pro Max | $360 | $413 |
