The Hub Power Company has reported a sharp slowdown in earnings from its stake in the BYD project, with profit declining by 99.8 percent to just Rs. 0.5 million in March 2026 after stronger contributions in earlier quarters.
According to available data compiled by Arif Habib Limited, HUBC recorded profits of Rs. 222 million in March 2025, Rs. 114 million in September 2025, and Rs. 54 million in December 2025, showing a 99.8 percent decline in earnings to date.
The company also reported a loss in June 2025, mainly due to elevated marketing and administrative expenses associated with the project.
Despite the declining profitability trend, HUBC has continued to invest in the venture, injecting a total of Rs. 6.6 billion, equivalent to $24 million, against its committed equity of $30 million.
The data suggests that while the initial phase of the BYD project generated moderate returns, earnings have tapered off, likely reflecting early-stage operational costs and scaling challenges.

Company ka bera gharak kr lia after sale support ko behter nhi kia.
Our company want to buy 10 atto3’s but their team is so incompetent they have no clear answer, given them several calls and no one bother to attend. Thankfully we drop the idea going fully electric and happy with hybrid fleet.
Byd is one of the best cars on the planet. But our own companies hate giving proper knowledge and support.
Byd cars need support so we can get them
BYD led EVs, REEVs, EERVs, PHEVs relies on Lithium batteries…. that itself causes severe fire & explosion hazard (not to mention end of life environmental nightmare of battery disposal), without any proper firefighting mechanism in place. Burns at temperature exceeding 1200 deg.C + toxic fumes & that too within 3 – 5 seconds…… WELCOME SELF INFLECTED DISASTER !

Sounds like misdirection and fudging of books. All locall companies are doing this to dodge excessive taxes, part of their survival strategy in the face of this incompetant government and their anti taxpayer fiscal policies.

Biggest challenge in EV adoption is the price which is prohibitive for majority of customers. People want Alto Mehran type EV but all Companies are focusing high end or ultra rich segments. BYD don’t even has an affordable family EV.
