Two Pakistanis Among 13 Arrested in UAE Drug Smuggling Bust

Authorities in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have arrested 13 individuals, including two Pakistani nationals, in a major operation targeting an international drug smuggling network.

According to officials, the arrested suspects include citizens from India, Pakistan, Iran, Egypt, and Sri Lanka. The group comprises four Indian nationals, four Iranian nationals, two Pakistani nationals, and individuals from other countries.

The operation was carried out after a month-long period of covert surveillance and intelligence gathering, authorities said, adding that the network was successfully dismantled.

During the crackdown, officials recovered more than 56 kilograms of illegal drugs along with over 8,000 narcotic pills.

Authorities stated that the operation is part of ongoing efforts to curb international drug trafficking and maintain public safety.
