Samsung is reportedly developing a new range of Galaxy Book devices that would run Android 17 with One UI 9.
According to a new rumor, Samsung is preparing multiple Galaxy Book models based on Android, covering entry-level, mid-range, and flagship segments.
The report comes as Google continues work on combining ChromeOS and Android into a unified platform, reportedly known as Aluminum OS.
It remains unclear whether Samsung’s upcoming laptops would use that future platform or if the company is creating its own laptop-focused One UI layer for standard Android 17.
The rumored lineup is said to include budget, mid-tier, and premium models. The flagship versions are also tipped to feature a very sleek design, though no further details were provided.
The upcoming laptops are expected to include Galaxy AI features across the range.
One UI 9 for laptops is also expected to deliver a desktop-style experience, potentially similar to an upgraded version of Samsung DeX.
The report said the new Galaxy Book laptops could arrive before the end of the year.
If accurate, more leaks and official details may emerge in the coming weeks and months.
