Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Law and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Aftab Alam Advocate on Monday inaugurated the Rs. 40 million Nakband to Alawara Road Project in Kohat, aiming to improve connectivity and support local development in the region.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by the former Tehsil Gumbat Chairman Sajid Iqbal, PTI leader Ishtiaq Qureshi, party workers, and a large number of residents.
Speaking on the occasion, Minister Aftab Alam said the provincial government was committed to public welfare, improved infrastructure, and the development of underprivileged areas.
He said road projects such as this would not only facilitate better transportation for residents but also help stimulate local economic activity.
Alam added that the government was actively working to fulfil its development promises and ensure balanced progress across all regions of the province.
Residents welcomed the project, terming it a long-awaited demand. They expressed appreciation for MNA Shehryar Afridi, Minister Aftab Alam, Sajad Iqbal, and Ishtiaq Qureshi, saying the road would significantly improve mobility and open new opportunities for development in the area.
